How to book
in Rental
Access the Playcar app, click on the "P" on the map and select the "Book in Rental" option. Enter the check-in and check-out dates, the vehicle category, the pickup location (which will also be the drop-off point), and the desired mileage package. After reviewing the information, accept the rental offer and your car will be booked!
Pickup and Drop-off Locations
We offer several pickup points for car rental in Cagliari, Quartu Sant'Elena and at Elmas Airport, making the service perfect for those arriving in Sardinia by plane and needing a car for their holidays.
Vehicle Categories
Choose the vehicle that best suits your needs: an electric car for a green experience or a combustion engine vehicle for greater range. We have a wide range of rental cars, from Smart cars to compact cars, up to medium and large-sized vehicles.
Mileage Allowance and Accessories
Each rental includes 250 km per day, cumulative over multiple days. Additionally, if you're traveling with a child, you can request a car seat with 48 hours' notice.
Payment Without Deposit
With Playcar no security deposit is required. Payment is made at the time of booking, using the registered card (credit, debit or prepaid). We do not accept cash or bank transfers.
Vehicle Insurance
All rental cars include collision damage waiver (CDW) insurance with a 750 euro deductible for damage, fire and theft. Coverage is comprehensive on all parts of the vehicle, except for tires, glass and damage due to negligence.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations are generally not permitted, unless proven circumstances prevent rental on the indicated dates.
How does
Playcar Rental work?
To rent a car in Rental mode, you must be registered with Playcar. Don't worry, registration is free! Download the Playcar Car Sharing app, create an account and make sure you have a license issued for at least one year, plus a valid ID document. Enter a payment method (credit, debit or prepaid card) and wait for approval of your documents (usually between 4 and 48 hours). Once approved, you'll receive your PIN code via email to unlock the booked car. You can also use your smartphone's Bluetooth to access the vehicle.
